Product Details
Software-Defined Intercom Interface Card for Artist-1024
The Riedel UIC-128-II is a Universal Interface Card for the Artist-1024 matrix intercom frame. It is software-defined, so one card can serve as a subscriber interface or a router and processor card. Its integral mixer scales from 8 to 128 ports per card. Additionally, each card can access all 1,024 channels of the Artist backbone.
UIC-128-II Audio Formats: AES67, MADI and Dante
The card supports SMPTE 2110-30 (AES67), MADI and Dante audio formats. Dante support is included on every UIC-128-II with no extra Dante license. Engineers switch connectivity types in Riedel Director software within seconds. Two SFP slots accept media modules of the same format, and the modules swap easily between fiber and copper. As a result, one card inventory can cover many different show setups.
Clocking and Network Integration
Internal sample rate conversion lets each card run in its own clock domain. Therefore, MADI and PTPv2-based systems can operate together in one frame. In AES67 mode, a TCXO with 0.5 ppm accuracy supports stable synchronization. A gigabit management port handles frame and network configuration. The card requires Artist firmware 8.3 or higher.
Flexible Comms Connectivity for Live Production
The UIC-128-II suits broadcast, sports and live event systems that mix IP, MADI and Dante devices. It works alongside earlier UIC-128 cards in the same Artist-1024 frame. Our product experts can help plan card counts and formats for your system. Add the UIC-128-II to your cart to request a quote.
