High-Density Matrix Intercom Frame for IP Production
The Riedel Artist-1024 is a matrix intercom node with 1,024 non-blocking ports in a 2RU frame. That density cuts rack space compared to earlier Artist frames. It joins any Artist fiber ring alongside Artist-32, Artist-64 and Artist-128 nodes. As a result, it can expand an existing system or anchor a new IP-based comms network.
Artist-1024 Universal Interface Cards and Licensing
The frame provides 10 bays for Universal Interface Cards (UICs). Two bays are reserved for routing and networking, while the remaining eight handle subscriber connectivity. Each UIC is software-defined, so it can run as an AES67, MADI or Artist fiber card. Additionally, frame-level licensing lets ports move freely between subscriber cards. Therefore, the node adapts as show requirements change.
Redundancy Built Into the Frame
The Artist-1024 supports N+1, NIC and SMPTE 2022-7 redundancy schemes. All control logic and data links inside the frame are redundant. Meanwhile, two load-sharing power supplies and a redundant fan module add hardware protection. An e-paper display shows configuration and licensing information, and reversible ventilation supports flexible mounting.
Intercom Infrastructure for Broadcast and Large Events
The Artist-1024 suits broadcast facilities, OB trucks, sports venues and large live events with heavy comms loads. It is configured in Riedel Director software alongside the rest of the Artist system. Populate the frame with UIC-128-II cards to match your connectivity needs. Our product experts can help size ports, cards and licenses for your production. Add the Artist-1024 to your cart to request a quote.
