A Super 35 mm sensor — with a one-piece, shorter-bodied design

With a body weighing under 3 kg (6 lb.), VariCam LT is ideal for handheld, Steadicam, jib, crane, gimbal and drone shooting applications, as well as all types of cinéma vérité filmmaking.

The VariCam LT offers a host of new features including an EF lens-mount, hot-swappable batteries, IR shooting capability, a 23.98 PsF output, cinema-style file-naming, and scene files.

Exchangeable Lens Mount

VariCam LT has the EF lens* mount which offers a wide array of lens choices. The EF mount* can be removed by an end user and replaced with an optional PL mount. This allows for even greater versatility in lens selection when shooting with the VariCam LT.

Infrared (IR) Cinematography

The VariCam LT is equipped with a detachable IR cut filter. This feature allows 4K infrared images capturing. This offers you not only to capture subjects such as nocturnal wildlife in extreme darkness but also to achieve unique image effects in daylight as a creative tool.

RAW Output

VariCam LT supports RAW solution with external 3rd party’s recorder.* RAW data can be output from the SDI output terminals, and external RAW recorder records data as Cinema DNG files or ProRes RAW files. Equipped with two SDI output terminals, it allows 4K/60p and crop-2K/240p output.
