Product Details
8K LED Video Processing for Touring and Virtual Production
The Brompton Tessera SQ200 is the flagship of Brompton’s Gen 3 processing platform. In the Ultimate configuration, every processor feature is included for the life of the product, matching the licensing approach of the SX40. The SQ200 drives up to 36 million pixels, enough for a full 8K canvas from a single processor. Additionally, it remains fully backwards compatible with existing Brompton receiver cards and Tessera XD distribution units. As a result, it drops into established Brompton-based LED wall inventories without panel changes.
AV over IP and Baseband Connectivity
The SQ200 carries two dedicated 100G QSFP28 ports for AV over IP, with support for uncompressed ST 2110 and IPMX. A single 100G link handles 8K video at 60fps and 12-bit color, and the second port provides fully redundant cabling with ST 2022-7 seamless protection switching. However, baseband workflows are equally covered. Up to four input cards each offer 12G-SDI, HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1, enabling 4x4K multi-stream workflows. Frame rates run from 23.976 up to 250fps with SDR, PQ and HLG HDR support across color spaces including Rec 2020 and ACEScg.
On-Camera Performance and Show Reliability
The Ultimate feature set includes the on-camera tools that made Brompton the standard for broadcast and ICVFX work, such as patented ShutterSync and high frame rate operation. End-to-end system latency is 2 frames with all features active, or 1 frame in Ultra Low Latency mode. Meanwhile, genlock runs from source through to panel refresh with bi-level, tri-level and PTP sync. Output supports Closed Loop Redundancy, and full processor redundancy covers high-stakes shows.
Rental Applications
The SQ200 suits concert touring, broadcast sets, esports, corporate staging and virtual production stages. If you have questions about pixel capacity, fiber distribution or pairing with specific panels, our product experts can help you spec the system.
