Blackmagic ATEM 2 M/E Constellation HD Overview
The Blackmagic ATEM 2 M/E Constellation HD delivers powerful HD switching for live events of any size. It supports up to twenty 3G-SDI inputs, letting you connect many cameras, graphics systems, and playback sources with ease. You get twelve 3G-SDI outputs, plus a USB-C webcam output for simple streaming workflows. The 1RU design also saves space while giving you impressive processing power.
Each input includes a frame synchronizer, a format converter, and a frame-rate converter. This lets you mix cameras and sources without matching formats. You can work faster, stay flexible, and run complex shows with confidence.
Advanced Tools for Professional Production
You get eight upstream keyers and two downstream keyers for advanced layering. The switcher also includes two DVEs for picture-in-picture and creative transitions. SuperSource adds four more DVE layers and a background layer for multi-box layouts.
The dual multiview outputs support up to sixteen windows each. You can monitor inputs, keys, media players, clean feeds, and program views with custom labels and audio meters. This setup helps you manage fast-paced events with clear visual feedback.
Built-In Audio, Graphics, and Broadcast Features
A built-in Fairlight mixer gives you forty-eight channels of audio control. It includes a six-band EQ, compression, gating, and limiting on every channel. You can embed or de-embed audio across all SDI paths.
The internal media pool stores stills and animations for lower thirds, bugs, and transitions. The ATEM 2 M/E model supports up to forty stills and four hundred frames of motion graphics. Chroma keyers deliver clean green-screen and blue-screen results, making the switcher ideal for virtual sets.
You also get integrated talkback with XLR, RJ12, and SDI support. This keeps your camera operators and crew in sync during busy shows.
