The ARRI ALEXA 35 builds on the trusted ALEXA platform with a new Super 35 sensor that delivers greater dynamic range, improved low-light performance, and enhanced color accuracy. Designed for feature films, episodic television, commercials, broadcast, and premium live production, the ALEXA 35 provides image quality that supports demanding production workflows from acquisition through final delivery.

Its 17 stops of dynamic range give cinematographers more flexibility when working with challenging lighting conditions. As a result, productions can retain additional highlight detail while preserving shadow information without sacrificing the natural, film-like look associated with ARRI cameras.

Exceptional Image Quality for Production

The ALEXA 35 captures up to 17 stops of exposure latitude, offering approximately 1.5 additional stops in the highlights and one additional stop in the shadows compared to previous ALEXA models. Additionally, advanced stray-light suppression helps preserve lens contrast and minimizes unwanted flare, allowing lenses to perform at their full potential.

This expanded dynamic range provides greater flexibility during color grading and visual effects work. It also creates an excellent foundation for HDR finishing, where preserving highlight and shadow detail is essential.

Meanwhile, REVEAL Color Science improves the camera’s overall image pipeline with more accurate color reproduction, refined skin tones, and smoother tonal transitions. The updated workflow also integrates with leading post-production tools for ARRIRAW processing, simplifying color management from set to delivery.

The ALEXA 35 offers sensitivity settings from EI 160 to EI 6400 while maintaining exceptionally low image noise. Productions working in practical locations or available light can also enable Enhanced Sensitivity Mode between EI 2560 and EI 6400 for even cleaner low-light images.

These capabilities reduce the need for additional lighting in many situations. Therefore, crews can work more efficiently while maintaining consistent image quality across a variety of shooting environments.
