Dual-Channel RF Over Fiber for Diversity Antennas
The Wisycom BFL2 is a portable, dual-channel RF over fiber system. It pairs the BFLT2 transmitter with the BFLR2 receiver, and each module carries two RF channels. Therefore, one link can move both sides of a diversity antenna pair over fiber. It also extends IEM and IFB coverage to distant areas without long coax runs.
BFL2 RF Performance and Filtering
Wisycom’s patent-pending laser technology delivers a spurious-free dynamic range of 116 dB/Hz2/3. The system noise figure is 10 dB. As a result, the link holds dynamic range consistent even as signal strength shifts in busy RF environments. The RF band covers 170-1260 MHz, and selectable filters help reject out-of-band energy.
Networking and Remote Control for RF Teams
Each BFL2 module integrates a gigabit SFP optical interface and a high-speed Ethernet switch. Additionally, dual Ethernet ports support monitoring and control through Wisycom Manager. Bluetooth and LoRa wireless control allow real-time adjustments through the Wisycom BT App. The modules can also manage compatible Wisycom antennas remotely. A high-contrast OLED display and four navigation keys handle local setup.
