Micro Wireless Bodypack Transmitter Built for Concealment
The Shure ADX1M is a micro bodypack transmitter for Axient Digital wireless systems. It measures about 68 x 60 x 18mm, so it hides easily under costumes and wardrobe. The antenna is internal, which removes the whip that can give a pack away on stage or camera. Additionally, a patent-pending adaptive antenna optimizes the signal when the pack is worn against the body. As a result, talent can wear it through long shows without a bulky profile.
Axient Digital Wireless Performance and RF Flexibility
Wide tuning of up to 184 MHz helps RF coordinators place channels in crowded spectrum. Meanwhile, two transmission modes cover different production needs. Standard mode favors coverage, while High Density mode maximizes channel count for large mic packages. RF output is selectable at 2, 10 or 20 mW. Transmission is also encrypted, which protects audio on corporate and broadcast jobs.
ShowLink Remote Control From the Mix Position
ShowLink gives the audio team real-time control of transmitter settings from the booth. For example, an A2 can adjust mic offset or change frequency without pulling the pack off talent. ShowLink also supports interference avoidance with compatible Axient Digital receivers. Therefore, crews spend less time backstage chasing packs during a show.
Durable Design for Theater, Broadcast and Live Events
The housing uses Ultem PEI plastic for heat resistance and comfort against skin. Sealed buttons and a recessed LEMO connector also help keep sweat and moisture out. Additionally, a high-contrast OLED display stays readable in dark backstage areas. Power comes from the SB910M rechargeable lithium-ion battery, rated for up to 7 hours.
