Product Details
Full-Meter RGBW Pixel Batten at 10 mm Pitch
The Martin VDO Sceptron XB 1000mm is a 1 m IP65 pixel batten that runs as a lighting fixture, a video surface, or a mix of both. It packs 100 RGBW pixels at a 10 mm pitch into a 27 mm wide aluminum extrusion. The XB is a newer, separate model from the VDO Sceptron 10: it moves from RGB to RGBW LEDs, and Martin rates it at more than triple the Sceptron 10’s output. At a full meter, it is the workhorse length for long lines, grids and scenic borders.
Sceptron XB 1000mm Output and Optics
Rated output is 2,300 lumens per meter in mixed white, and the white point can be set anywhere from 1,800 K to 12,850 K. Full gamut pixel calibration matches color across every pixel and across fixtures, which matters when dozens of units sit side by side on camera. Martin lists CRI 78 or higher and TM-30 Rf 77 or higher. The bare beam spreads 122° by 122°. Graze and blade lenses tighten it to 24° by 84° or 16° by 76°, and a family of flat, round, square and tube diffusers sets how much the individual pixels show.
Control, Power and Rigging
Art-Net, sACN and Martin P3 are all supported with automatic protocol detection, plus RDM over Art-Net for setup. The 1000 mm unit offers DMX modes from 3 to 314 channels, including 5, 10 and 25 segment modes and full 100-pixel control. A P3 Mix channel blends lighting and video modes, and a stand-alone mode programmed with Martin Companion stores up to 20 scenes. Power and data share 7-pin DCE hybrid connectors at 48 V DC from a P3 PowerPort or compatible supply. Draw is about 30 W per fixture at full white and weight is 1.6 kg (3.5 lbs), with refresh selectable at 1,001 or 4,004 Hz for camera work.
Lines, Grids and Scenic Borders
The 1000 mm XB suits stage outlines, pixel grids, broadcast set lines, festival scenic and corporate stage borders. Pair it with the 320 mm version to close gaps and finish corners at the same pitch. The IP65 housing handles temporary outdoor use from -20°C to 50°C, and vertical columns can run up to six fixtures high. Our product experts can help plan PowerPort counts, cable runs and mapping for your Sceptron XB layout. Add the Sceptron XB 1000mm to your cart to request a quote.
