VL3600 LT for GroundControl Remote Followspot
The GroundControl Vari-Lite VL3600 LT is customized to offer compatibility with the PRG GroundControl Followspot System.
The PRG GroundControl Followspot System gives a followspot operator the freedom to remotely operate a high output automated luminaire as a followspot from up to 2,000 feet away. Designers now have total creative freedom to put followspots in places that were either previously unusable or involved complex rigging. With the GroundControl (GC) Followspot System, the operator is located away from the luminaire, making the required physical footprint significantly smaller than conventional followspots. Because of this small footprint and low weight, followspots can now be placed in a wide variety of positions.
VL3600 LT Optics and Output
The VL3600 LT is the long-throw member of Vari-Lite’s VL3600 Series. A 1,000 W monochromatic LED engine feeds an optical system tuned for narrow beams, with a 3° to 42° zoom and a 220 mm front lens. Vari-Lite rates it at more than 50,000 lux at 10 meters. That makes it a strong key light from distant positions, where a standard profile runs short of punch at the tight end of its zoom.
Color, Effects and Weather Protection
Color comes from CMY mixing with variable CTO, backed by a fixed color wheel and a dedicated enhancement wheel with CRI boost and minus green filters. The effects package includes two gobo wheels, a dual prism system, the VL*FX animation wheel system, a 16-leaf iris and a four-blade full-wipe framing system that rotates plus or minus 60°. V*Track calibration keeps fixture movement to a minimum at startup. The fixture is IP65 rated, takes wireless DMX through a built-in LumenRadio CRMX TimoTwo receiver, and runs on 120-240 V AC.
