MAC Ultra Performance for GroundControl Remote Followspot
The GroundControl Martin MAC Ultra Performance is customized to offer compatibility with the PRG GroundControl Followspot System.
The PRG GroundControl Followspot System gives a followspot operator the freedom to remotely operate a high output automated luminaire as a followspot from up to 2,000 feet away. Designers now have total creative freedom to put followspots in places that were either previously unusable or involved complex rigging. With the GroundControl (GC) Followspot System, the operator is located away from the luminaire, making the required physical footprint significantly smaller than conventional followspots. Because of this small footprint and low weight, followspots can now be placed in a wide variety of positions.
MAC Ultra Performance Output and Optics
The MAC Ultra Performance runs on Martin’s 1,150 W LED engine, built from 84 white 20 W LEDs at 5,800 K. Fixture output is rated at 46,500 lumens. A 160 mm front lens and a 1:7 zoom cover 8° to 54°. Color temperature control drops the white to 2,850 K, and a Spectral Enhancement Filter raises CRI to 83 when skin tones and camera work need it.
Framing, Effects and Low Noise
The Extended Framing system uses four individually controlled blades that tilt across the full insertion path, and the whole module rotates plus or minus 83°. CMY mixing, a color wheel with six filters, two rotating gobo wheels, an animation wheel, a 4-facet prism, an iris and variable frost round out the effects. Noise is rated at 36.5 dB(A) at 1 meter in the default fan mode at full output. Control runs over DMX, RDM, Art-Net and sACN. Plan power accordingly: the fixture needs 200-240 V AC.
