The DPA 4099 CORE+ with drum clip is a supercardioid condenser microphone for close-miking drums and percussion. The clip mounts the mic directly to the drum, so there is no stand to position around the kit. As a result, drummers keep their setup clean, and stage crews change over faster. The supercardioid pattern helps isolate each drum from nearby cymbals and instruments.
4099 CORE+ Performance on Loud Sources
CORE+ technology extends dynamic range and raises the clipping point compared to the previous CORE generation. Therefore, the mic holds up on hard-hit snares and toms without harsh distortion. An updated shockmount and gooseneck design keep placement steady during a performance. Additionally, the IP58 rating protects against moisture and dust on tour. DPA offers the 4099 CORE+ in Loud SPL and Extreme SPL versions.
MicroLock Connector and Wired or Wireless Use
The detachable MicroLock connector locks in place to reduce accidental disconnects. It remains compatible with existing DPA MicroDot accessories and adapters. For example, an XLR adapter supports wired use, while other adapters connect to wireless bodypacks. The 4099 CORE+ also works with every generation of DPA instrument clips.
