The Allen & Heath Qu-24 is a 24-channel digital mixing console designed for live sound, corporate events, houses of worship, streaming productions, and recording applications. Combining powerful digital processing with an intuitive workflow, the Qu-24 delivers professional audio performance while remaining approachable for users transitioning from analog consoles.

With dedicated faders for every mono input channel, a full-color touchscreen, motorized faders, and integrated recording capabilities, the Qu-24 provides fast access to critical controls in demanding production environments.

Intuitive Workflow for Live Production

The Qu-24 was designed to make digital mixing feel familiar. Unlike many compact digital consoles that rely heavily on layers, the Qu-24 provides a dedicated fader for each of its 24 mono input channels. As a result, engineers can make adjustments quickly without navigating through multiple screens.

At the center of the console is a True Color touchscreen paired with a dedicated rotary encoder for fast access to routing, processing, effects, metering, scene management, and system configuration. Additionally, the SuperStrip control section provides one-touch access to gain, high-pass filtering, four-band parametric EQ, compression, gating, graphic EQ, and panning.

This streamlined workflow makes the Qu-24 a strong choice for corporate AV teams, churches, educational venues, and live event productions.

Professional Audio Quality and Processing

The Qu-24 features 24 AnalogiQ digitally controlled microphone preamps with advanced gain architecture and low-noise performance. These preamps deliver transparent audio capture while maintaining excellent headroom and minimal distortion.

High-quality 24-bit analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters preserve audio clarity throughout the signal path. Meanwhile, comprehensive channel processing provides the tools needed for speech reinforcement, live music, broadcast audio, and recording applications.

The console also includes four stereo RackFX engines derived from Allen & Heath’s touring systems. Available effects include reverbs, gated reverbs, delays, modulation effects, and flangers. Dedicated FX returns ensure processing does not consume valuable input channels.

Recording, Streaming, and Conference Applications

The Qu-24 includes a built-in USB audio interface capable of recording up to 32 tracks directly to a Mac or PC. Additionally, the integrated Qu-Drive system enables multitrack recording and playback directly to USB storage devices without requiring a computer.

For streaming workflows, users can send stereo mixes directly over USB to streaming platforms and production software.

The console also features an Automatic Microphone Mixer (AMM) capable of managing up to 16 microphone sources simultaneously. This functionality is especially valuable for conferences, panel discussions, government meetings, educational presentations, and corporate events where multiple open microphones are used.
