InfoComm 2017: : VER Welcomes New CEO, Investment in New Event Technology, and Launches New Used-gear Sales Program

The company will introduce show attendees to new live event equipment solutions, their recently-launched used equipment sales program, and their a new, visionary CEO.

VER recently appointed industry leader Digby Davies as CEO of VER. Davies bring with him more than 30 years’ industry experience including a total of 11 years as COO and then CEO of technology services provider, PSAV. Davies’ proven track record has resulted in broad industry knowledge, business acumen and a unique perspective as a former VER client.

With new investments in rigging technology, VER acquired more than 80 new Kinesys motion rigging systems. The Kinesys Elevation 1+ removes the need for large quantities of cabling and permits several motors and controllers to be supplied by single power and data cables. This will enable clients to add new, creative dimension to their live events, automating movements for lighting, LED, and rigging pieces, that can be triggered by timecode cues.

VER’s new turnkey Riedel Mediornet fiber optic flypack brings mobility and flexibility to event video processing and distribution. VER’s exclusive flypack connects all camera inputs, graphics, and video signals over a fiber network, delivering real-time signal-routing and switching. Combined with VER’s new fiber cable extenders, productions can run cable beyond boundaries, with minimal delay of < 40ms, and the ability to re-route more than 1,000 connections in a fraction of a second.

VER will also showcase custom-manufactured HD LED corner tiles. Created from industry standard BO3 tiles, the VER engineered corner tile provides a fine edge, between two intersecting corners. Combined with video content, the corner provides a seamless transition for content across a 90-degree angle.
