Preston DM-1X Digital Motor
E-CODE: P4A32-
Product Details
Three sizes of digital motors meet the needs for virtually any lens drive application. The DM1X Digital Motor (left) has the highest speed and power of any available lens motor. It is specifically intended to focus cinema lenses, allowing for quick focus racks on even the largest zoom lenses.
The DM2 motor (middle) is general purpose motor, intended to perform the Focus, Iris or Zoom functions on all but the stiffest cinema lenses. (These jobs should be relegated to the DM1X.)
The DM4X motor (right) is the smallest member of the family. The DM4X is a miniature motor packing exceptional power for its size. It’s made specifically for applications where size and weight are critical, such as Steadicam, 3D and gyro stabilized rigs.
All of the motors have their internal gears coated with Diamond like Carbon (DLC) to provide unexcelled toughness and freedom from backlash over many years of service. All of the motors are compatible with the FI Z MDR2 and MDR3 units, the Digital Micro Force and the one-channel Video Lens Control.
The integral motor brackets fit onto 19mm matte box support rods. The motors can be mounted to matte box support rods with a variety of optional swing-arm brackets. Step-down bushings are available for 15mm and 0.625″ rod systems. All of the motors accept step-up gears for use with Panavision cinema lenses as well as Canon and Fujinon video lenses.
